Cross over and trust for a miracle

Rivers parting and people walking through on dry ground this is an act of God a ‘miracle’ it is almost too amazing to believe. The Bible is full of awesome miracles that show how God provided and looked after his children, the truth is miracles are occurring today as well, especially in more needy remote parts of the world.

One of my favourite podcasts to listen to is Sid Roth’s Messianic Vision, he interviews guests who are walking in the gifts of the Spirit in radical ways, exercising their faith for great miracles regularly.

I think this is a really helpful thing to do, as the saying goes, ‘faith comes by hearing, and hearing, and hearing’  I have a huge desire to grow in these things, so I must keep myself aware of what is possible.

As husbands and Fathers I am convinced great faith is a prerequisite, we need to be able to believe God for the numerous needs and desires of our family.

It seems that men who get to the crunch time and hadn’t developed the faith to cross over and trust God for the miracle end up bulking and doing a runner, it seems many marriages end because the man couldn’t persist and trust it would work, whatever our miracle is we need persistence to get it, we can’t win the race if we quit the race!

Our families are worth fighting for, worth coming to the end of ourselves and trusting God for his provision, guidance, strength to see us through every rocky season of life.

Most of the miracles I seem to be trusting God for are financial, always wanting to do more and I think that it is good to get in the habit of trusting God for more provision to bless others and expand what you can do with and for your family.

In the early days of marriage my miracle was that I would learn to love my wife no matter what and zip my lip when frustration kicked in (ok, I havn’t yet mastered it, but I am growing for sure)

The miracle you and your family need could be the answer to any of a number of tough and challenging situations, but know that God is in it with you if you have invited him, refresh with the accounts in the Bible and search out the awesome things God is doing on the earth today.

We need to remind ourselves that God is the miracle maker and the one who can do all things!

Take your needs now to God and know he hears you.

Walk in obedience and faith.

Remember to keep a thankful spirit.
