Maybe you have been forced or given some goals and targets for your career/company.
Or perhaps you have identified a new hobby work related skill to develop or because we’ve all binged out far more than we thought we would through the Christmas season, maybe its the age old start of year determination to eat/drink healthier or hit the gym and stay there.
However do you really have some dreams with goals attached to them for your family or for yourself? Its so obvious but so easy to forget, that unless you do some things differently, you are going to be the same (only older) in a years time as you are now!
And do you have a strategy to make these dreams stick, so that by the end of 2015 you can see the growth.
The man I am probably most grateful for this year and excited by what he taught me is Michael Hyatt (michaelhyatt.com) I discovered his podcast while painting my front rooms in February, I started consuming hours of his back catalogue and loved every minute of the decorating! He has inspired me so much and this blog is a result of his virtual input.
A few weeks ago he released a virtual product to set you up for your best year ever (bestyearever.me) It has over 5 days systematically given me the reflection and focus to go in to the New Year with 10 precise goals to achieve, they are S.M.A.R.T.E.R goals and I have enjoyed finding the 5 or so motivators that I can focus on in 2015 to get me through the inevitable messy middle.
He recommends 7-10 goals across the complete spectrum of life, work, family, health, spiritual etc.
I now know the 10 things I really want to achieve in life in 2015, I know what will motivate me to keep me in the game and I have a game plan for achieving all of them.
I would highly recommend the course, because he takes you from the beginning reflecting on what went right and wrong in the year before, it is a very precise but simple and pretty quick process, to give you the clarity to kick start 2015 and stay at top gear to live the dream!
