¹³ For I speak to you Gentiles; inasmuch as I am an apostle to the Gentiles, I magnify my ministry, ¹⁴ if by any means I may provoke to jealousy those who are my flesh and save some of them. ¹⁵ For if their being cast away is the reconciling of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?

Romans 11 13-15 NKJV

Wow, wow, wow, we are to live in such a glory filled way that it causes the Jewish people to become jealous of us! For them to look upon our life’s, upon our testimony, upon our courage and strength and think wow I want what they have!

What is it that we have? We have Jesus! The very person that they rejected the very answer / solution that they rejected! That’s what I have that is the God that I have and that you have. Let us not forget what we have and what we worship. We worship the risen King, the God who resurrects us, that lifts us up out of our mess and gives us new life. We can all get stuck in the mess sometimes (can’t we) But it’s about how and with who we get out!

So how is your life Christian? Only you can really give an answer to that, only you (and God haha of course) can tell us if you really have peace, if you know that you are living for Him and that your life is marked by joy and peace. If it is, well done! You have learnt to abide in Christ, in our Messiah! This is the kind of full abundant life that the Jews want, that all people want that the muslim, the hindo and the atheist really want, to be right with their maker. So if that is you, confidently and purposely live it out. God wants us to display this love that we have found He want’s us to be the written epistles that the world around us read – make it a good story! If that is you, demonstrate that oneness to the world – the confidence you have in Him! be bold in your proclamation of the Gospel and of the new life that you have found with your Lord!

The world around us is largely broken and they are crying out for guidance as to how to live a Godly, profitable life, how to love one women for their whole life! How to be faithful to their children consistently and how to have joy in amongst trials and the perceived rut of normalcy. These things are real and possible when we daily put our trust in Jesus Christ and when we make it a habit to confess our sins to Him. We find then the verve the excitement the awakening in the simple small things of life. We find the passion for our wives and the strength for our children in the day in and the day out.

Each of us can have the fruit of the Spirit running through our life’s and we can be free from sin. Our love for and with our wife can grow more and more each month flooding our family life with a purity and wholeness that is from Him and no where else.

Keep going brothers, if you have not found this consistent joy yet in your walk with God or in your marriage or fathering, stay in the game and keep your trust in Jesus – that is where it will come – not in any counterfeit – rebuke those pretenders the enemy lays up for you and get back to the real thing! He will lift you up and give you the consistency to be all that you need to be. So that you can shine as a light in this ever darker world, so that all will be jealous and desire the answer that you have – The Lord Jesus Christ!

Father God I thank you so much that all people will come to know you as King! I pray for all the Jewish people Lord and particularly for the nation of Israel keep them Lord by your grace and mercy, bring them in to a saving knowledge of your Son the Lord Jesus Christ. May they be with you for eternity and may they put their faith in your beloved Son, Jesus, Amen!
