I have started watching many films with my son Luke who is currently 12 years old. Now that he is 12 there is a plethora of 12 rated movies that are both entertaining and some what educational.

We have done most of the U and PG movies for Friday Family Nights with the girls also. So now we are getting some alone movie times just me and him, with the intention of connecting with and mentoring him.

This is a little inspired by a lad I knew well in Primary School (well done James Smiths Dad) he would tell me at lunch time I’ve watched this film and that film and I had watched none! – (but he’d watched them with his Dad) Dad should be the training ground, the biggest teacher and I believe the principal of first learning is very true – when a child hears something for the first time – often what they learn about it forms there belief of it. There is a lot a well informend father can teach his son from decent movies.

My intention is to give a little review on my blog of the best movies we watch from my perspective and a sons perspective.
