I have been enjoying reading back over some of Ed Cole’s book Courage.
He makes the interesting point that a difference between David and Saul was that David loved truth enough to write down everything God told him, and Saul didn’t. By neglect, Saul defaulted on his leadership and forfeited his kingdom.

To this day we sing the Psalms of David. They are words recorded under the inspiration of God’s Spirit and still bring life to those who hear them. Saul is long gone. He is merely an example of error. He never wrote down the works of the Lord.

So decide to be dedicated, discipline yourself to the details of God’s word to you today and all that He speaks to you.
You will never regret it!
