Yesterday I met a precious little girl, who I have the pleasure of nurturing shaping and loving.

Our family now has more children than adults so it’s a good job we won’t be taking any votes.

It seems that God has a different plan to me as to the focus of my parenting, as the dynamic has gone towards more girls than boys.

I was sure that God wanted me to focus on raising sons and had not taken so seriously the idea that I would focus on raising daughters.

Now that idea is becoming a reality, and an exciting one too. The need for godly, beautiful, pure, strong and confident young women is so now.

There were a few extra checks that the doctors wanted to do on her, including an xray – thankfully God’s peace continued to reign in us and I enjoyed the extra time alone with her as we waited for the xray. And a beautiful time of Daddy daughter bonding was allowed.

I am so excited to have two little girls and really pleased to have that responsibility for at least two young lives.

And am so looking forward to seeing this blog develop and in so doing helping other fathers be the best father they can to their daughters and sons.
